Many thanks to Lia and Brian McCormick for asking me to present floral workshops at their beautiful Black Creek farm in summer 2021 and another set in summer 2022.

I learned many new creative ways to arrange my hodgepodge wildflower bouquets into something more elevated and visually pleasing.

FLOWER CROWNS

Spend the morning with fellow flower divas creating your own outrageous flower crown. Then waft about (with crown on head) enjoying bubbly and treats.
*you will learn flower wiring techniques, how to make different types of flower crown bases, floral taping and attachment, ribbon work.

*you will learn care tips to extend the vase life of your flowers, how to gather and prep flowers for design, different ways to use natural mechanics to create stunning floral designs, how to read your flowers and botanicals which will allow you to use that knowledge to guide your design

DAHLIA DAZE

Delightful dahlias are on a floral come back from grandma’s flowers to cat-walk queen! Learn all the why’s and wherefores of dahlia lore, care and feeding. Then let these beauties inspire your own dazzling arrangement using green floral techniques.
*we will do a deep dive into designing with dahlias, when to cut and how to prep, steps on setting up a design using a dominant flower, looking at and understanding use of colour
